This group is intended for those who are interested in Irish and Celtic Cultures. This group started as a meeting place for Irish Expats but has now grown to include all those interested in the way of Irish; music, language, and any of those with an Irish connection. All nationalities are are welcome. This is based in San Francisco but we will expand it to meet any of our members requests and wishes. A meetup for people who can play one or two traditional Irish tunes and are eager to learn more in an informal setting. All instruments welcome to join the session, which will be played at a slow to medium pace.

These days, most of the dance clubs and social meetup groups are focused on music from the 80s and later, from hair metal to house to hip-hop to funk/R&B to DJ mashups and the like. What is missing is a group with an emphasis on live band music from oldies rock and roll, to classic 60s rock (the British invasion, beach music, folk and acid rock, etc.) through the more popular 70s rock (Eagles, Doobies, etc.) You know the kind of music I am talking about!
